A-Apollo Windows & Doors Ltd. is a growing manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors serving customers across Western Canada. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying paint and protective coatings to window and door components while maintaining a high standard of finish and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare window and door components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and ensuring surfaces are properly prepared.
Mix paints, primers, catalysts, and clear coats according to specified formulas and colour requirements.
Apply paint using spray guns and other appropriate painting equipment.
Maintain consistent colour, coverage, thickness, and overall finish.
Perform touch-ups and corrections where required.
Inspect painted products for defects such as runs, sags, uneven coverage, overspray, scratches, or colour inconsistencies.
Follow production schedules and maintain required production output.
Properly clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, equipment, and painting areas.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Properly handle and store paints, solvents, and other painting materials.
Work closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure products meet Apollo's quality standards.
Report any quality issues, equipment problems, or material shortages to the supervisor.
Perform other production-related duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous industrial, production, spray painting, automotive painting, or similar painting experience is an asset.
Experience using spray guns is preferred.
Knowledge of paint mixing and surface preparation is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow measurements, formulas, colour specifications, and work instructions.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
Willingness to learn Apollo's painting processes and standards.
