Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector (Windows & Doors) to perform final quality inspections of windows and doors once the product is ready and requires packaging for shipment. The successful candidate will ensure all products meet company quality standards, approved specifications, workmanship requirements, and customer expectations prior to packaging and dispatch. This role is responsible for verifying product readiness, identifying deficiencies, confirming order accuracy, and ensuring products are properly prepared for packaging and shipment to minimize defects, damages, and customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Conduct final quality inspections of windows and doors prior to shipment. 
  •  Verify product dimensions, specifications, finishes, glazing, hardware, labeling, and overall workmanship against approved drawings, work orders, and customer requirements. 
  •  Inspect completed products for scratches, dents, defects, missing components, damage, or assembly issues before loading. 
  •  Ensure correct quantities, sizes, configurations, and customer orders are prepared for shipment. 
  •  Confirm windows and doors are properly packaged, protected, labeled, and shipment-ready to prevent transit damage. 
  •  Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to resolve quality concerns before products leave the facility. 
  •  Identify and document deficiencies, non-conforming products, or shipping-related quality issues and coordinate corrective actions. 
  •  Maintain inspection checklists, quality reports, and shipping verification records. 
  •  Conduct random audits of outgoing shipments to ensure consistent quality standards. 
  •  Assist in reducing warranty claims, returns, rework, and shipping damages through proactive quality checks. 
  •  Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Previous experience in quality control, shipping inspection, manufacturing, or warehouse quality assurance (preferably in windows, doors, glazing, aluminum, vinyl, or construction manufacturing). 
  • Good understanding of window and door products, hardware, glazing, dimensions, and finishing standards. 
  • Ability to read shop drawings, packing slips, specifications, and production documentation. 
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, or inspection tools. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with shipping and production teams. 
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in window and door manufacturing or shipping environments. 
  • Familiarity with shipping verification, packaging inspections, and quality documentation. 
  • Understanding of defect tracking and corrective action processes.
     
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and inspect products for extended periods. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required. 
  •  Comfortable working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping environment.
