Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Glazier to assemble, install, and secure glass into window and door systems in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling glass units, installing glazing components, applying sealants, ensuring proper fit and finish, and maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and product quality. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced window and door manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Install and secure glass into window and door frames according to specifications and production requirements. 
  •  Measure, position, align, and fit glass panels into aluminum, vinyl, or other framing systems. 
  •  Apply glazing materials, sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing components to ensure proper fit and performance. 
  •  Inspect glass and finished assemblies for scratches, chips, cracks, defects, or quality issues. 
  •  Ensure proper handling, lifting, storage, and movement of glass materials to prevent breakage and damage. 
  •  Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, specifications, and production instructions. 
  •  Assemble and install hardware, stops, spacers, or other glazing-related components as required. 
  •  Verify measurements and product specifications before glazing to ensure accuracy. 
  •  Maintain clean and safe workstations and follow workplace safety procedures. 
  •  Coordinate with production, assembly, and quality control teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines. 
  •  Report material shortages, quality concerns, or production issues to supervisors. 
  •  Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste or rework. 

Qualifications & Requirements:
  •  Previous experience as a glazier, window assembler, or manufacturing worker in windows and doors preferred. 
  •  Knowledge of glazing systems, glass handling, sealants, gaskets, and installation techniques. 
  •  Ability to read shop drawings, measurements, and production specifications. 
  •  Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality. 
  •  Ability to use hand tools, measuring tools, suction lifters, cutters, or glazing equipment safely. 
  •  Good problem-solving and teamwork skills. 
  •  Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  •  Understanding of workplace safety standards and glass handling procedures. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Experience in window and door manufacturing, glazing, or construction environments. 
  •  Familiarity with insulated glass units (IGUs), aluminum systems, vinyl systems, or curtain wall systems. 
  •  Experience with quality inspections and defect identification. 

Physical Requirements:
  •  Ability to lift and move heavy glass materials safely (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance/equipment)
  •  Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment for extended periods. 
  •  Comfortable working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
